Filing for spouse - i-130 / i-485 / i-765 / i-864
Hi! I would like to know if i'm doing everything right:
I'm a J-1 Exchange visitor whose visa expired 2 days ago, so technically i'm still on my grace period, does it make any difference if I file now or after my grace period expires?
Are there any penalties or complications?
My wife is an American citizen by birth, so i'm able to submit forms i-130, i-130a, i-765, and i-864 at the same time, right?
We just opened a banking account together, is there any sum good enough or we only need to show that we have common resources?
My birth certificate is written in spanish and there's an official copy in italian, do i need to translate it in english anyway?
On form i-485, item 21 asks for the date of my last arrival in the us.
Since I went to Canada for a weekend and reentered the country i need to put that date or the date of my arrival in the US for Visa purposes?
I'm still filling paperwork so for now these are my questions, it's pretty difficult to go through all this forms on my own even being used to fill up bureaucratic stuff.
