Some questions about I-864 - Joint sponsor
Hello,
I have some questions about the filing of I-864. I am a US Citizen, but my income is not enough to cover the minimum base for my wife and 2 children. Because the kids were born before I to get the citizenship, I filed 3 different forms of I-130. Now I have to file 3 different I-864 forms, and the joint sponsor as well. My questions are:
1. The joint sponsor is divorced. In the part 3 #1 he has to check box YES and not to include any other relatives to the principal immigrant, because they are listed with a separated petitions?
2. Part 5, about the sponsors household. How many members is his household? My family household is 4 members ( me, my wife and 2 kids) He is divorced.
Part 5 #1 Provide the number you entered in part 3, Item number 28. ( on each form will be 1)?
#2 yourself - 1
#3 If you are currently married enter 1 for your spouse ( he is divorced and will be 0)?
#4 if you have dependent children, enter the number here ( he does not have any kids) Does he put 0 or 2 because he is sponsoring my 2 kids?
#5 If you have any other dependents enter the number here ( if the answer on question #4 is 0, does he put here 2, because he is sponsoring 3 persons, and one of them is counted on this form?)
