  • i-130 USCIS Fees Payment

    Hey Everyone,

I am Canadian and my wife is American. We are looking into the best payment option for paying the USCIS fee. Unfortunately their payment options are very limited.

If you live outside the United States or its territories and you want to file your application or petition where you live, go to the Forms section of this website to determine if you can file your form at an international office. Please note that not all forms of payment are accepted abroad. See the webpage of the USCIS office where you wish to file or contact the appropriate U.S. Embassy or Consulate for information on what forms of payment are accepted and how to pay at your local U.S. Consulate or Embassy.

There is no USCIS office in Canada, and I have not been able to find out if we can go to the US embassy in Toronto and pay there. It will be difficult for us to get a check from a US bank

Bank drafts, cashier's checks, certified checks, personal checks, and money orders must be drawn on U.S. financial institutions and payable in U.S. funds.

We would have to get someone in the states to mail us a check in order to pay this way. Is there any other option, or does anyone have an experience with this?

Bank in Canada can definitely make US funds cashier's checks.

Around hundred thousand international students apply to the US schools from their home country make school fee payments in this manner.
