My wife and I pay joint income tax return. I have filled I-130 for my sister. When her date becomes current does can I be the only sponsor of my sister's family? Does my wife needs to also complete I-864? My income alone is enough to cover my family (4) and my sister's family.

If your own income is enough and you are not counting your wife's income, your wife does not have to fill out I-864A.
However, a few consulates have been reported to insist that the spouse fill out an I-864A anyway even if it's not necessary.
This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
