My Step father petitioned for me and my mom. I 130 accepted for my mom. What's next?

So my step father is an LPR and petioned i 130 for both me and my mom about a year ago. My mom received the approval notice but not me. What should we do? How long for AOS? Is my petioned denied? We are currently in the US and i fall in the category of step child.

Your step father petitioned for your mom and you are the derivative, and it is a single petition (he did not submit petition individually for you) as this is the process for spouse of LPR and the derivatives.

For close family member of USC, an individual petition is needed.


Are you and your mother are in the USA? And are both of your status valid in the USA? (that is you have not been out of status - for example if you are on F1/J1 visa etc). This is important as if you plan to AOS, you have to have a valid status in the USA.
