H1B Fired

I've been residing in the US on an H1B visa and have been married to an american citizen for over 2 years. I was fired from my job last week and I'm trying to see what my options are. Can I file for a green card since i'm married to a citizen? do I have to leave the country to do that or can I file while I'm still here? what are my options for work? Should I leave the country and come back on a tourist visa? how do I remain legal here?
