Can I apply for IR5 greencard for parent inside US instead of applying from original country and do an interview outside of US?
Parents are old, don't want them flight to another city in their country. Can I apply from US directly when they visiting me here? Thanks.

If more than 3 months may pass travel visa stay duration. Or once file the IR5 form, you can stay here until get the result?

The petition approval and Adjustment of Status for an immediate relative (parent, spouse, child under 21) in U.S., if the petitioner is a U.S. citizen, will take 6-9 months.

They can stay in the US for as long as I-485 is pending, regardless of whether they have status.

By the way, a parent who does AOS would get classification "IR0"; "IR5" is for parents who did Consular Processing for an immigrant visa.
