Timeline between courtesy notice and interview schedule

Hello,

I have applied for I-485 though my husband (we got married in April, applied as his spouse in May, he got his approval & green card in June 2017). I received my EAD in November, 2017. We were asked as initial evidence to submit financial documentations to show that I can support myself and family mid January, 2018. We sent the relevant supporting documents (my payslips and husband's etc) first week of February.

Last week, we got a *courtesy notice* saying that they would need I-693 form and would be needed to carry them to an interview if scheduled and specifically mentioning "DO NOT MAIL DOCUMENTS". Given this, we are planning to get done with the necessary medical work and be ready for the interview. My question is, when can we expect to receive the interview notice and a potential interview date? We have a couple of trips planned in April and May (within the US), so just wanted to understand the latest timelines or pointers to where I can look for this information.

It depends on the backlog at your local office. Some offices are only 4 months behind and others may be 18 months behind.

Thank you for the response! My application is at Lee's Summit, MO - I could not get any processing time information for I-485 here - https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do
We are just hoping that it doesn't clash with our travel plans and are waiting for it.
(Courtesy notice was dated Feb 15 and so expecting to hear back in the next week hopefully)

That office only handles the initial verification of your application, making sure you?ve sent all of the evidence required. They approve the AP and EAD. Then, they forward the application to your local office. We got the courtesy letter about a month before the Combo Card. There?s been no other communication since then.

What are you expecting to hear from them in the next week?

And for anyone curious about the timelines, I got my interview notice in mail yesterday (March 26), which was dated on March 20 for an interview scheduled for April 25 in our local office.
