  • Remove Conditional Status

So we did the petition to remove conditional status. We got a letter stating my husbands green card has been extended for one year while they process his application. During this 1 year extension he's authorized to travel and work. It says we will receive an appointment notice for biometrics etc.

We've had the biometrics appointment already. My question is, his actual card says its expired. We have the letter stating it's been extended. We are due to go to Mexico in a month. Do we just carry this letter along with the green card? Or should he be getting a new card?? Help!! I don't want him having issues when we cross the border to come back.

    Thanks in advance!!!

He will get a new card when the Removal of Conditions is approved, which may take a year or more.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
