  • Changing the USCIS processing center

    Hello

I am a US citizen and applied for my mother's I-130 (consular processing in Mumbai) on 1/19/2018.

The application is currently at the USCIS Texas service center, and I called them up and they told me that processing times can be expected to be in the 7.5- to 9.5 month range.

The processing time at each service center is different, and can be seen here - https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-ti...ce#mainContent

Is it possible to change the USCIS service center to another one (USCIS New Delhi office, my parents are in Mumbai, India) where the processing time is less than 1 month? I have already submitted the I-130 in January.

    Thanks!

I?m not sure 🤔 but it?s going to delay your case for sure
Maybe call uscis and ask them good luck 👍🏿

Thanks, I'm curious as to why you say it will "delay the case for sure"? Would it not make things faster to have another USCIS center with lower processing times process the case?

Even assuming you are referring to the work involved in transferring the case from USCIS Texas to USCIS New Delhi, it should still be faster overall.
