I am a citizen of US. A year ago, when I was petitioning for my dad (a foreign national) I typed incorrect physical address for my dad because of my bad English. I misunderstood that the beneficiary's address is mine. He was never in the US in the first place. I typed as he was in US, I typed my (petitioner) physical address on I-130 Part 4 Beneficiary's Physical Address section. I never intended to lie, it was purely my own mistake and ignorance.
Now, as of today, I have received a I-797 NOTICE OF ACTION. it said that my petition was APPROVED. "The petition indicates that the beneficiary is in the US and wishes to apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident." Also it said that I have to file for an I-485 (but my dad is still in a foreign country).
It also said that "if the beneficiary decides to apply for an immigrant visa outside the US based on this petition, you should file I-824."
My question is: Should I go ahead and file i-824 for my dad OR re-send the I-130 with a correct physical address (which will take an another year)?
