I filled for family based immigration for my father and mother. I am citizen and parents are in India. We opted for consular processing and filled I-130. My mom's I-130 is approved and got RFE for my father's I-130. Main reason is that they don't have marriage certificate and US Homeland Security wants to establish paternity/legitimacy for child-father relation (for me and my father). We tried to get marriage certificate for my parents and they would not be able to get that.
Has anyone encountered similar situation? If so, how did you resolve?
