Parents AOS - Medical Examination Question

Hi - I am planning to apply for my parents AOS.

1. Just wanted to confirm if it is required to get the Medical Examination done before I submit concurrent filing of I-130 & I-485?
2. I am also planning to apply for their EAD and AP. Do I need to pay additional fee for both or the fee is covered as part of I-485?

1. No. People infact defer the medical, since it is valid only for an year, and depending on the local USCIS office the interview might take place after that time. If you do not submit medical report along with your application, you will merely receive a RFE asking you to bring it along for the interview.
2. No. They are both free with I485.

As far as I know interviews are almost always required, especially for the the family based green cards.
