I-130 US Part 4 Item 47 - 50

Hello,

I am applying for my parents greencard and have question regarding I-130 Part 4 Item 47 through 50 - Passport Number, Document Number, County Of Issuance and Expiration Date. Their Indian passport with US Visa Stamp is expired. Online I-94 shows the passport that had US Visa Stamp (expired passport). They do have Valid New Indian Passport (renewed post expiry)

Question: Which Passport Number I should specify in Item# 47-50.

I believe you have to provide details of the passport/Travel document which your parents used to enter US. As the heading says "Beneficiary's entry information", you should enter the expired one. Also Travel document is the document that they used while entering so new passport details does not qualify for it.

This is what is mentioned in I-130 instructions:

"Passport and Travel Document Numbers. Complete Part 4., Item Numbers 45. - 50., as applicable, if the
beneficiary relative used a passport or travel document to travel to the United States, enter either the passport or travel
document information in the appropriate space on the petition, even if the passport or travel document is currently
expired"
