  • I-130 and I-130a Beneficiary's documents?

    Hi,

I am filling I-130 and I-130a forms and sending it in same envelope. As per instruction document, we have to submitted documents only for Sponsor. I do not see what documents are required for Beneficiary. Should not they be asking atleast ID documents(like DL or Passport ID page), or existing visa related documents for Beneficiary to make sure it is a real person. Am I missing anything or that is how it should be? Below is the list of documents we are submitting with I-130 and I-130A:
    Sponsor's Citizenship
    Sponsor's Birth Certificate
    Sponsor's Passport (ID Page)
    Marriage Certificate
    Marriage pictures
Joint Account and Credit card details
    Joint Health and car insurance
    3rd Party sworn affidavit

Please suggest if that is correct.

This is correct. The petition is just to establish the relationship. Documents will be needed from the beneficiary in the consular processing stage.

This is my personal opinion and is not to be construed as legal advice.
