W-2 form

NVC requested the W-2 form for my petitoner, my husband, but he's now employed by overseas company so he can't provide the W-2 form. He had uploaded the form 2555, Foreign Earned Income, already. Does anyone come across this and how should we reply to NVC about my husband's situtation? Thanks!
FYI, All our documents were handed in through NVC's website.

In general, employees who are not able to obtain IRS Form W-2's from their employer use IRS Form 4852 as a substitute when filing their tax return
