I have no choice but to file my sibling as my spouse when I applied Asylum here in USA. There were too many issues in back home that needed me to take that action. We divorced afterward. Working fine and living in separate households. I married to my real spouse. We both have been USC for many years. I always been worry what could happen to us. Can this become issue although after many years we have been here paying tax and no other issue? If then what could be the best route we should do to avoid trouble?

    Thanks!

I don't know how they will approach it to be totally honest with you. I'd suggest that since marriage to a sibling is prohibited in the US, you might have problems. Even if you did not actually legally marry, you lied to the US government in order to gain an immigration benefit, something which is fraudulent.

I hope someone can provide you with some advice on how to move forward, but I'd highly suggest hiring an attorney for this, as it seems like it could get complex.

Delete this post and take this with you to the grave. You did what you had to with circumstances. I am not condemning it or supporting it. Some things are well off not discussed in public forums.
