Can Family travel after my travel to USA on immigrant visa which we got together?

My interview for Immigrant visa for F4 category is scheduled in Sep. I wanted to know once i and my family get visa, can I (Principal applicant) migrate to USA first and then my dependent family (spouse and kid) later after 4-5 months before visa expiry (i.e. 6 months)? Is it mandatory to travel together or can we travel separately as I stated above?

The derivative beneficiaries can immigrate at any time after the principal beneficiary immigrates.

In that case immigration package will be given different for derivative beneficiaries and principal applicant? Because if only 1 immigration package is given then how both principal applicant and beneficiaries will enter the USA with same package.

Also if separate package are given then do I have to tell immigration officer to prepare different packages as our travel plans are different?
