Hi, You guys have great website, very helpful...

I just got my citizenship and want to apply for the green card of my family members. My mom already has a 10 years multiple entry visa and has been here in US a couple of year ago My questions are:

1.) Do I need to send affedevit of support with Form I-130 or is it needed later? (Currently, my mom is in India so I think I will go with CP)?

2.) To support the relationship, I don't have the birth certificate, So that affedevit of birth is needed from my side or from my mother's side and does it need to be sent in original along with I-130 app, also do I need to send an affedevit for unavailability of birth certificate.

3.) If I apply for Green card for my brother who is over 21 and is married and has kids, Does it mean that he can't apply fo visitors visa till his GC application is processed which may take upto 10 years?

4.) Does it make sense for my brother to apply for visitor visa first before applying for GC or it does not matter as once GC is applied for him he can't come to US on tourist visa.

I realize I am kind of confused and have quite a few questions, but I will really appreciate any help in this regards.

    Thanks in advance,
    Ajay

I can answer #3...........let him apply for the visitors visa first. Once he has an immigrant petition pending it lowers though not entirely erases his chances of getting one. The objective is always to convince the officer that he has a non immigrant intent an dthat he has more ties with his own country than with the US ...so if he has a sister petitioning for him......

Once he has the visa , he'll be able to travel even with your petition pending
