On the USCIS website, below are listed as projected processing times.
5 Months to 7 Months FOR Permanent resident filing for a spouse or child under 21
6.5 Months to 8.5 Months FOR U.S. citizen filing for a spouse, parent, or child under 21
There is no quota for the citizen category, where as permanent resident category is subject to quota (i.e., people need to wait for CP/I485 anyway, even after I130 is done).
So, why are they processing I130 filed by green card holders faster than the same form filed by citizens (for IR1 beneficiary), where there is no wait?
This seems totally illogical!
