Form I-485 filed after Form I-130

I have a procedural question that maybe someone can help me with. My husband (Canadian) is working on getting his green card. We filed the Form I-130 (and rec'd our receipt), but due to a misunderstanding, the Form I-485 (together with I-864 and I-765) wasn't sent at the same time. I called up USCIS and re-checked the forms to see that I could send them in separately. So, just did that and included a copy of the receipt with the new package (included it with each form, just to be sure that they all stay together).

Has anyone else done this? Did this drastically delay the process?

I am petitioning for him as my spouse. I am a U.S. citizen. He and I have been married for 5 months. He is residing in the U.S. currently.
