I filed for my i-130 and i got the receipt number and learned that it is sent to California service center.
Petitioner is my wife ,who is a LPR and i am on my F1 student visa.
Recently my employer applied for H-1B and my petition got picked in lottery and it is still in processing.
So i have a i-130 which is under processing and an H-1B which is also under processing.
Does these two affect each other?
Also i learned from this forum that a lot of i-130 petitions in California service station is pending and since my PD is May 2018,i think it would take at least an year for my i-130 to get approved.?
Am i correct?
Also how soon i can apply for my i-485/i-765.?Do i have to wait till i-130 gets approved?I saw some threads where people apply before i-130 approval?
