Hello, urgent question here -
So my husband is a US citizen and is sponsoring me through a family based immigration process - We filed our application and it was received Feb 20th 2018 and we are waiting for the next steps still. We used to live in the US, but temporarily moved to Singapore for 1 year for my work. He still maintains his employment with his US company and has bank accounts in the US etc., and our permanent mailing address is in the US.
However due to our lawyers advice, we put Country of Domicile, in form I-864, as Singapore. I'm now reading all over the websites that if country of domicile is not United States, the sponsorship form itself is not valid. This is terrifying!! Do we need to amend the form , and will this cause delays?? Or will the USCIS come back asking us to take evidence to the consulate? We had really hoped to finish all this quickly with no delays and took such care with our application.
Please advise! i864
