Green Card for Parents - Marriage Certificate

Hello,
I want to file for my parents green card. However, they were married in 1976 and do not have a marriage certificate. Is there anyway to get this done in the US through Indian Consulate in NYC? If so, can you please tell me know and the template I need to fill to obtain this marriage certificate?

Marriage certificate

I don't think you can get marriage certificate like birth certificate from consulate. You can send email to consul general and normally they are pretty responsive.

The best bet is for someone to arrange you an affidavit from uncles/aunts of your parents who can vouch for their marriage.
