  • Parents - No birth certifcate -oldest siblings, how to resolve secondary affidavit?

I couldn't find an answer to this question. I see lots of people asking this question, but I don't see people having posted answers to this question.

    1. My parents moved to current India from Undivided India.
    2. We are filing for their GC. They do not have birth certificates and both of them are the oldest siblings.
    3. We go the certificate of nonavailability from the municipality.
    4. How do we get a secondary affidavit of birth from someone older? they are 79 and 80 years old themselves.

Given some of you have faced this situation, how did you solve this?

Well, I may not be right. But what we did for our 60 year old parents is we got an affidavit from their elder brothers/sisters who are atleast 6 years older than them. Normally an unlce/aunt/siblings who are 10 years older than the beneficiary can give an affidavit. Our application is in process and we just applied a month ago.

In your case perhaps you can get an affidavit from 100 year old uncle which would not be possible. Hence instead of giving an assumed wrong answer, I don't know
