Parents Green Card Application. Help!

Hi

Putting together my parents package for their green card application.

I have got caught up at I485 I'm wondering if my mother should be the beneficiary or derivative on this application? she is currently a dependent of my dads E2 visa status.

Also, do i just copy the affidavit of support and evidence that i have done for my father with my mom as a dependent, or file a new affadavit with my mother of the primary applicant?

I am assuming you are a US citizen petitioning your parents?

If so, your parents are in the Immediate Relative category which cannot have derivative beneficiaries. You petitioned each of them with a separate I-130 petition, and each of them is a principal beneficiary. You need a separate I-864 for each of them, and each I-864 will only list one of them and will not include the other parent who is on a separate petition.
