Birth Certificate/Unavailable Certificate from Consular Office in SF
Hello all,
I couldn't find an answer to this question searching the forum, so asking. If it is a repeat, apologies ahead of time.
My parents are visiting the US on a B-1 Visa. I am trying to explore options to get their GC processing started. A few of the key documents that they do not have are their birth certificates and marriage certificates. The Indian Consulate in SF has miscellaneous services that seem to provide these, but for documentation they list out a Proof of US residence. Since they are visiting from India, does anyone have an idea on what they expect? Is this request for us, as son/daughter or for them to provide (which we can't at this time).
Anyone who has gone through this might be able to explain better.
