  • I filed I-30 for my wife, can I change service center?

    Hi Everyone,
I am permanent resident "green card holder". I have filed I-30 for my wife and I live in Texas, she lives overseas. Our application went to California and California processing times are so long, we were hoping it will go to Texas service center because I lived in Texas all my time in the U.S. I have also applied for naturalization and is Been 15 months now. So I was hoping if I can change the service center and by the time my naturalization case is complete to be able to update my wife application to Immediate relative so we don't have to wait for visas. I'm frustrated already for my naturalization case taking forever and it will just double my frustrations if I can't change the service center. By the way I filed my i-30 through an immigration attorney. Please help me if you have any information on how to do that or it there are any good news.

    Thanks

The service centers are not the same as the field offices. Which service center your case goes to isn’t based on location.

Okay, now can I change the service center or am I stuck with California?
