I want to start the i-130 process for my parents. The timelines are stating 6-8 months. is that real?

Also, I am filling out the i-130. it is requiring me to submit only my parents' marriage certificate and my birth certificate. do we include my income taxes? affidavid? and all that?

If they are doing Consular Processing, the approval of the I-130 is just the first step. Then they need to deal with NVC and the consulate for the Consular Processing.

Now, their B1/B2 tourist visa is expiring in march. Can they apply to a new one while the i-130 is being processed?
