Fingerprint Appointment Card Timeline

How long after receiving NOAs (I-485, I-130, and I-765) dated June 1, 2006 will we receive the Biometrics appointment notice? We thought by now but nothing. Most sites only show when people got their Biometrics done. Any help on this timeline is appreciated.

I would say around a month.........by the first week of next month by the latest, youll get a notice. But the timeline given by USCIS is 90 days so as long as they havent gon eoutside of that it makes no sense calling them..........

Still No Appointment Date

We still haven't received the biometrics appointment. Maybe it's because we're now married 2 years (last weekend). Here's our original timeline:

Married July 16, 2004
FIled i130, 485, 765 Nov. 2004
Dec 2004 Fingerprints
Jan 2005 rec'd EAD
June 2005 i130 withdrawl of petition (we were having problems)
GO to counseling (court ordered for DV).
March 2006 fill out paperwork again, DV case expunged
May 22nd overnight to Chicago Lockbox
June 1 2006 received NOAs for new i130, 485, 765 (called to fix i765 address typo)
i130 touched June 17, and nothing else.

Now that it's been 2 years we're married, does he automatically get an unconditional GC and our first interview? or do we still have to go through all the same timelines? We were told that the fingerprints had to be redone but that it's 60 days (not 90 as CusriousOne pointed out).

The 90 days I'm referring to is the time frame given for the processing of the I-765 and its only after 90 days without a decision from USCIS can you receive an interim EAD.

Regardless of the length of the marriage, th entire process has to be done again and another interview will be scheduled. The 2 yrs will allow you, at the conclusion of the process, to receive a 10 yr GC instead of a conditional one .

The NOA for the I-765 IS the biometrics appt letter. It usually says "the above application has been received......"

Then below in bold it has BIOMETRICS and instructs you to call the NCSC to schedule your appt which you do by giving your info and the ASC code which u find in the box under your name. I dont think You receive a separate notice for the I-765.

Okay, that's how it used to be, where it instructs us to call and make an appointment. It now says on the NOA that they will schedule and send us an appointment for the biometrics. We called last week and were told it could take up 60 days but usually within 4-6 weeks of the NOA that we would receive the appointment notice. SO, now it has been 7 weeks but not quite 60 days. We just have to be patient that it will show up before next week and then get it done. I appreciate your help in answering my questions, CuriousOne. I read things online about being married 2 years and then I start to think it's a different process or wait time. I guess not. We just hope before Fall semester starts he can get into a course and get started. Hopefully, I can post that we have the appointment, get the EAD and get going on our life plan together next week. If not, we'll have to call and see where things are or where they are missing... Egads! Thanks again.

O.K. sorry.....I didnt even know the form had changed since last year........
But i'm sure about the two year thing though.......youll have to go through the process from scratch but will receiv eth e10 yr instead of the conditional green card. good luck

Fingerpoint appointment

We finally recieved the appointment! It was sent to the old address from the previous submission of forms. We had called in June when only one form, the I765, had the correct address but on the street address of our home the old apartment number was left on. We called to have that part removed and instead, it appears they just changed it back to the old apartment address! How annoying. In any case, will the wrong address on the appointment notice be of concern? I think we need to write and not call this time, or can we fix it when we go to the fingerprint appointment?

You can just go with it.......your name, receipt # and date of appt are the most crucial info

Appointment was for wrong Application!

We are eally confused and hope it is just a mistake. When we called USCIS yesterday to ensure that the applications didn't all change back to the old address in error, they pointed out that the ASC Appointment letter reflected the old application I had withdrawn over a year ago and not the new application(s). Had my Husband gone in for his fingerprints Friday, he would have been sent away or worse, arrested, since it was for the denied application! So, they told us to send a letter with copies of every notice and ask for a new appointment for the new applications. I'm sending today express mail to both Chicago and MSC. Since August 30th will be 90 days, can we go in via infopass appointment on the "90 days since I765 applied for and no EAD"? We are worried now because of the earlier withdrawl that they may be messing with us. What do you think? Thanks in advance.
