  • ANY Way my Husband can Travel?

My Husband just found out today his Mother died and he's so upset. He had hoped to have the paperwork done so he could see her one last time before she died. Is there any way? We filed I-485, I-130 and I-765, got NOAs on June 1, 2006, I-130 touched June 17th. We are waiting for the biometrics appointment.

Please help, even if it means some extra $$ and paperwork and extended stay in Chile, is there any way? :'(

There is an expedited I-130 ..but I'm not sure exactly how..............complete one, have the photos an dthe check, make an appt with infoapss.....you should get one at least thsi week and take the form with him along with his other docs and speak with an immigration officer............it would help to ahv proof of the death...........if he cant get it that date at least hell know how soon..........dont bother to call the customer service number, they're useless...........and I'm very sorry for your loss

        Gracias

Thank you for replying so soon. He's so upset and I don't know if what you said would really work but it's worth a try. No problem on getting a copy of the Death Cert. ANd I can download and pay fo rthe the AP (I-131). I'll use Infopass and see where it goes and let you know what happens. Again, thanks.

Its worth a try...........I would think the only other way to do the expidited would be to mail it..........at least if youre there with it, youll know whether or not it can b edon ebefore you send your money. I know for sure though that an expidited one can be done...............keep us posted

He doesn't want to try. The funeral is tomorrow and he thinks it'll cost too much. I told him that the airlines give discounted prices for death in family travel. He's doing better today though. I think he figures he should have gone there to see her before she passed and since it was a heart attack, how would anyone know. She wasn't that old too. So sad, but thanks for your help.
