  • I-130 Case: Petitioner is U.S. Citizen, I am her married son, over 21 yrs old

My mother filled a I-130 form one year ago, she received by that time a letter from USCIS telling her the case had been approved and it would take them 990 - 999 days to process. After 8 months the message in the web page changed telling that I must check estimate processing dates in the USCIS web page.
How much time does this take, I mean, the interview date and residence visa issuance ?
Does she has to fill out any additional document ??
In the USCIS web page it says it is actually processing cases as of Abril 30, 2001. It is not moving at all since Oct 2005.

      Thanks for replying !.
My mother filled out an I-130 petition for me by June 2005, she received a confirmation letter from USCIS (California Inmigration Service Center) by July 6 2005 telling her that request had been approved a well as an estimate of 990 to 999 to process the case case. I hve kept myself checking case status at a web page she gave to me for this purpose.
Some month ago, the web case status, which used to be same as the written letter she received from USCIS, changed the estimate days of processing by a message: "For estimate rpocessing dates check out our case status bulletin" , or something like that. The bulletin says they are porocessing cases which received date of Abril 30 2001, that's beyond 5 years. Should I assumed that consulate interview and visa issuance is to be
given around 5 years ahead ?
I live in Dominican Republic, my mother lives in USA, Miami Fla.

        Ok, Buenos dias,

That's right, it said "received", not approved. Glad to read your "spanish". Ok, I will plan on having by interview by 2012, if you have any other news before that please let me know.
