  • Case Transfer

    Hey guys ,
I just got this update on my case that is over 8years old and I was wondering why would they transfer my case to California from Texas ? Is this normal? Please read below:

On August 11, 2006, we transferred your I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to an office in CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER for processing. That office has jurisdiction over the case. They will send you a written decision as soon as processing is complete. You should receive a notice informing you that your case has been transferred to a local office.

Does this mean more time before a decision is finally made?

USCIS Service Centers are specializing in one form of immigration processing

Each of the USCIS Service centers are slowly specializing in the processing of certain types immigrant petitions. For example Nebraska mostly does all the I-140 while California and Texas does all the I-130 now. So don't worry about the change in service centres. It doesn't matter........... except that your case could be actually processed faster!

      Good News

Well At Least It Is Moving! That Is Good To See. I Also Have A I-130 In Texas, But Have Not Seen Any Movement. I Wish They Would Send The I-130's To Vermont.......check Out The Processing Dates There! Good Luck Hang In There!!
