Parent are Permamnent Residents - Can they sponsor me?

Hello,

I am a 26 yr graduate student in US. My parents got their PR in (october 2005) after I turned 21 so I could not get the visa with them.
What are the options I have for immigration through my parents and how long would it take?

Would the process be faster since I am already in usa?

They can file a petition for you now under Family category 2b(sons and daughters of PRs > 21 yrs).
But currently wait for this category is about 10 years for India.
Your being in US won't matter until a visa number is available which will
take about 10 years. Following are the cutoff dates for India

Family category
1st 01JAN98
2A 22SEP99
2B 01DEC96
3rd 01OCT98
4th 01JUL95

I suggest you wil be better off getting a green card either through
an employer in US or through marriage to a US citizen.
