  • Need Help for Family based Immig.

    Hi,

I am a US citizen planning to file for my mother's GC via Family based immig. But currently i am not working as i am a student. My wife works full time and makes enough to qualify as a joint sponsor. My questions are as follows:

    1. Is it ok to file while i am a student or should i wait until i start working?

    2. My mom has multiple visitor visa for 10 yrs. So if i file I-130, is it going to annull her visitor visa? Can she travel to US while the I-130 is in process?

    Any help is highly appreciated.

    1. It's OK.
    2. Her visitor visa remains valid.

      Hello,

You just need to show that you have enough income to support her and you can have the help of any of the joint sponsors.

It is not going to have any effect on her B-2 visa.
