Hello,
here's my situation:
1. currently a permanent resident since Mar 2002.
2. got married overseas last year Sep 2005
3. have not applied for sponsporship (I-130) for wife yet
4. will be applying for my own citizenship in Jan 2007 (5 year completion of PR status).
Is there any merit or advantage in filing the sponsporship for my wife now as opposed to waiting until I get my citizenship and then applying.
I understand that the filing category can be changed and the sponsporship application already filed for the spouse (when I was a green cardholder) can be moved to a Citizen sponspored category once I get my citizenship. Is this true?
Can someone please help with this as I am a bit confused
