Do I need a lawyer to initiate greencard sponsorship for parents ?

I'm closer to acquiring my US citizenship. I would like to know if I need to hire a lawyer to prepare documents and filing the greencard application for parents ? Anyone have any experience filing themselves ? I have plans to do it myself, but at the same time I don't want to mess it up. Any help in this regard is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

A lawyer helps but is not necessary..........afte ryou become a citizen do form I-130 (petition for alien relative) along with proof of your citizenship, proof of relationship( your birth certificate) your parents birth certificates nd marraige certificate, and the check....................if they need anyhting else, they will write you and ask and generally give you at least 30 days but usually its 90-120 to reply. Make sure the form is signed and that you sne dit via certified mail. If you can afford it, use a lawyer, if not you can do it yourself
