  • Help with I-130

Hi all. So I'm just getting started in this whole process. I've briefly contacted an immigration lawyer about my situation. I am a USC and my husband is here illegally. My lawyer suggested I file the I-130 immediately. Thats fine. But what happens after I file. My husband is here with me in the States. Will he be deported? Are there additional forms I need to file? I am so confused. We really want to be able to travel back and forth to Mexico but unless he's legal we can't. Can anyone help?

He is here illegally. Came in without inspection;Never was legal. Thats why everything is so complicated.

He has an identical situation but in short, there is no value to waiting to file the I-130.
