  • RE: i-751

    Hi,
at what time I would need to submit i-751? Was I supposed to send it with i-485? According to USCIS website, i-751 is submitted if marriage is less than 2yrs old. we just got married so would that be an impact? an attorney told me that i-751 can be submitted 2yrs after marriage.

    Please advise...

You submit I-751 ninety days before the expiration of your temporary green card. You will get a conditional/temporary GC, if at the time of your approval, your marriage is less than 2 years old. To remove the conditions ( the condition being that an alien must remain in a good faith marraige for 2 years after the issuance of the temprray GC to get a permanent resident status) you then file I-751.
