  • AR-11 form

    Hi,
I have submitted my papers for i-130 and i-485. on the i-765 form, I was told to put "PENDING-Adjustment" as current status. But on the i-485 form, I used OPT status.
Now, I am going to move to a different address with my spouse, what should the status be on the AR-11 form? If i call the INS customer service, they are not really helpful. I had mixed lucks with them. I want to send AR-11 within the 10-day timeframe.

    Any suggestions? Thanks...

      AR-11 & Pending AOS

      Thanks.
there is not enough space to type or write Pending AOS.
But will try to find it.

last time when I talked to an Immigration officer, he told me that once my receipts arrive, I am not in opt or student status anymore. and I am not required to be in school either. I hope that me not taking any class after my OPT expires, will not create a trouble.
Has anyone seen a different outcome on this type of cases? Do people still enroll while in Pending AOS status?

      Thanks again...

        re: AR-11 question

        Hi again,

since I am not a Permanent resident yet, should it put the expiration date from my EAD card where it says "enter expirey date"

No..it refers to your visa not EAD.....put DS ( duartion of status or the expiry date on your visa..................dont get obsessed with any fine detail..............the objective is to get your address on record..........also call and update your address....an dmeke sure you copy the form and send via certified mail...USCIS is notorious for not updating addresses and sending stufff to old address on record.

            Thanks

            Thanks for your reply.
The problem I noticed is that If I call, they give me conflicting information. Am I supposed to notify just the address printed on AR-11 form or anywhere else? In the past, everytime I have moved, I have submitted them an AR-11 form and used DS for expiration.

Now I am OPT and it expires on on 12/17/06. should I use that date then even though my status will be Pending???

              ar-11 form?

              Hi again,

my visa expired a while ago, however, I have used DS everytime I have used AR-11 form and never got any response from USCIS. I have always mailed using standard mail and usually, they have sent me updates to my new address.

so, should I put DS or pending on expiration section? Sorry for being repeatative.
