RE: notifying school for AOS?

Hi,

I have applied for AOS through my wife (us citizen). I was told by the Immigration agent over the phone that I do not have to go to school anymore once I have received a receipt for the AOS application. He also said that I don't need to notify my school..

I am not sure if I have to notify my school since they are not the best in keeping records updated. Will it be okay for me to inform my school that I am changing my status? I want to make sure I am complying with the law..

there is nothing in the law that says you have to notify your school
