  • wife is USC but not by birth

    Hi,
I have applied for my i-130 and i-485 package through my wife. I have talked to a friend of mine and found out that the USCIS requests her birth certificate. she was born in a refugee camp, so there is no birth certificate. all she has is a copy of her i-94 when she came to USA and her certificate of US citizenship.

Do I need to get any form of affidavit since we don't have her birth certificate?

    Thank you.

One can be a citizen either by birth or by naturalization. In her case,
a certificate of naturalization( citizenship) will do just fine.
