I-864, HELP about to file petition, please

Hi my wife is a U.S citizen and she is going to get my green card, we are about to file and send the papers but we are confused, I (petitioner) have been working all this time for the last 11 years with my social security number.working in the banking business. I am not going to lie because we don't do that so the issue is.... my wife wich is the one asking for me fills out the I-864 affidavit of support and her taxes.....
I am going to say that im working if the agent asks however do I need to fill out any 864? or at least show proof that I file taxes and if they ask me show them that........ what to do with this.....once again we are not going to lie because there is not reason to do that but we need to know how to handle that issue the I-864, do we add my income in there too? or do I need any type of other special forms to show my income????

forgot to say that I came here with a visitor's visa 11 years ago.... from costa rica

If you have accumulated 40 qualified quarters (10 years) of work in the U.S. then all the literature I have read indicates you have to fill out an I-864W and not the I-864. The Social Security Administration should be sending you annual reports of your insurable earnings and in that document, you will know how many quarters you have accumulated. If you have the 40, get on the SSA website and request a certified copy of your earnings statement. It will cost you $15 and take up to 6 weeks. I suggest you get that in hand before filing your I-130/I-485.
