  • i guess i m in trouble :(

    hi guys!!

i ve a serious ? and a problem.. i entered US with a B1 visa and after a month got married with a citizen.. applied for permanent residency.. got my work permit and parole also received an interview date... so we re a dumb couple we didnt take any documents with us of course they gave us another date to complete papers.. but the problem is; before the 2nd interview date me and my wife had to move back to my country because of a family emergency.. so we couldnt make it to the appointment.. i mailed all the papers to the person at our including a house rental contract in my country (of course translated to english) containing both our names but it was already 2 months late to the deadline.. then my motherinlaw received a notice that we have to pay an extra amount to keep my apllication still valid. we paid that too...

so my question is whats gonna happen to me and my status???
am i gonna start all over again?
and will i have a problem if i want to enter US this summer?

thanks for your patience and intereset..
    take care...

      1. Its unlikely that you still have a vaild application pending. If you did not mai the documents before the deadline, or go to your second interview, then your application would have been denied. Also, if you left without getting advance parole, then your application would have been denied. The way to have don eis was to write aletter to immigration requesting a new date and explaining why both of you had to leave

      2. Onc ethe documents are filed nad accepted by USCIS, they do not ask for more money to "keep the application alive" so either you didnt understand the request, or youre not explaining it properly here, or someone took you for a ride.

      3. Its not a simple answer as to whether or not you can enter this summer. It would depend on what is in the denial letter, and also ho wmuch time yiou had spent in the US out of status.

      4. Yes, to get your GC, youll have to start all over again. If you cant enter, then you will have to wait outside, while your wife files for you.

      5. You need an attorney.
