Hi...this is my current situation:
I am an unmarried son over 21 and my parents are permanent residents and they filed for me on August of 2002. I am from South America. On September 2006 I got my approval notice. I guess currently I fall under the F2B category and I see the current processing date is around 1997. My parents are about to become citizens this year. I am currently working in the US with a working HB visa.
My question is: Once my parents become citizens, the plan is for them to file for me now as an unmarried over 21 son (category F1). Will I be placed at the back of the line or is there a way for me to obviate that and enter the new line at a more advance position?? Will a good lawyer have an influence on this issue?
Question number two: What happens if I have children with my girlfriend eventhough I am not married?
Question number three: At what point can I do my Adjustment of Status? Is there a way I can remain in the US until I receive my GC given the fact my petition has been approved?
Thanx for your help
