Need help:: I-130 approval came but??

I had a mistake some time ago as I sent i-130 by itself accidentally instead of the whole package 'cos I applied through my wife who is a US Citizen. Now, I sent a letter to request the termination of that file after talking to an Immigration officer.

Now, they sent me an approval letter from California even though my file is being processed in Missouri center... PLease ADVISE....will this impact my file? I am already being dlayed for EAD....i really need the EAD so that i can continue to work.

Please help...

Best to speak to Immigration officer again. Perhaps you can pursue I-485 with the approved I-130.

There's nothing wrong with filing those forms separately, that's the way I did it, and it doesn't impact in their decisions, the only thing is that if you want to apply for EAD you need the I-485, or besides, they could think that you are not here and they would send to the National Visa Center to make consular procedures.

Did you called them to make your address change? You should do that so they would transfer your case to the Missouri Center. Just called them and tell them your residence change.

thanks for your reply. ...I am curious that yes, I have moved to a new apt.. I have also updated my information with INS but not w/the California center. I was told by the local MN uscis Office that i shouldn't contact anyone anymore so that it doesnt get confusing for them.
Should I still go ahead and contact California center and ask them to transfer to Missouri? or will they just transfer it?
