Greencard for parents

My parents' visitor visa application has been rejected 3 times. I will become a US citizen in October and plan to apply for their GC soon after. In the meantime if my parents want to apply for the visitor's visa again and god forbid if it is rejected does it affect their chances of getting the GC approved?

On the contrary, rejection of tourist visa would not affect GC application, however, if you apply for GC for your parents and thereafter they apply for tourist visa - 99% chance that it will be rejected, so do not waste your money
