question about translations :confused:

Hi, I filed a petition for my mother and she got her package this week. Now I have a few questions,
1. can I translate her divorce certificate or does a licensed translator have to this (did read in a book, you can do it youself, just have to sign it)
2. when I file the support papers, can I use only my income even though we file taxes together and can my husband be co sponsor for my stepdad later?
