what kind of documents could be used as proof of domicle?
(my mother is my petitioner and she is 70 yrs and lives with my brother and she is totaly depent on him and does not work)
now cosular officer wanted me to covince him that she is a resident of us but i dont know how.anybody knows???/

Proof of her residence can be a copy of her green card, copy of her identification, copy of her social security card. If she doesn't have id she can go to DMV and make one. There are many ways to prove that she is a resident of usa if she is. Copy of her bank statement, if she doesn't have account, your brother should open one soon.

It is been a while that i have the exact same problem and my immigrant visa is in pending status. believe me you need to work hard to fix this peoblem.

my mother is 62 year's old us citizen and living with my brother but us immigration rules (and maybe cultural differences)does not consider this dependencies as a valid reason. your mother need to provide strong proofs that USA is her permanent country of resident.

what your mother needs to do contains:
opening & maintaing saving+checking bank accounts ,enabling credit card and collecting statements,renting apartment ,voting cards, finding a job , driver license, state ID , and what ever proofs that she is really living in us.

maybe for 70 year's old mother it is not logical to find a job or live alone but unfortunately these are the exact proofs that embassy needs.
