I'm filling out my I-864 and need to know, under 1e,
I'm using my husbands and my income, what do I need to mark? Only sponsor, joint sponsor, first or second of two joint sponsors?????

Are you filing for your hubby and using his income for meeting the 125% requirement ? If yes, then select choice "a".

Being a petitioner and using the beneficiary's income to show sufficient income are two different things.

Are you and ur husband sponsoring some1 else's GC ? Then choose "e"

I'm filing for my mom and need both of our income to meet the 125%.
On e you have three choices. Only sponsor, joint sponsor, first or second of two joint sponsors?????

choose " I am the first of 2 joint sponsors"

and also file 864A for your husband seperately.

Am pretty sure , on the 864A, he will choose " am the 2nd of 2 joint sponsors". pls check....

Similar situation

I have a similar question.
My wife is USC and is applying for me. she is a housewife and is not working since Oct 2006. I am on H1B and earn about well above the poverty line so does she has to choose choice "A" in 1st section.
I do not have any dependent - so do I have to fill 864A ?
Please help.

its a good question. we have one child, a u.s. citizen, with documents (passport). do we need to complete I864A? I am under the impression that we don't because it says to complete one only if the intending immigrant has accompanying children. Does my son count as "accompanying child"?

hello......my finace is in Morocco. We have applied for the I129F visa. I read that I need an affidavit of support. I do not meet the income requirements......what can I do? And when in the process do we need this form? Please help, we have been a nervous wreck since learning of this news. We met online over 16 months ago and am anxiouly awaiting to meet.
